ATHLETES
WITH BACK & NECK PAIN
Is back and neck pain affecting your performance?
Tried everything and nothing helped?
Do you want to permanently eliminate back and neck pain naturally?
Internationally-reknown M.D. and Doctor of Osteopathy, Guy Voyer (www.guyvoyer.com) offers a comprehensive set of postural exercises called ELDOA designed to relieve tensions & pain in the spine and reverse the degenerative process.
Improve your posture:
more efficient expenditure of energy
Become more competitive - more power, strength & speed
Better core strength, function & coordination
Minimize tissue imflammation
Recover faster allowing you to return to your game
Longer competitive career!!
ELDOA is the answer!
Some Of The Athletes ELDOA Will Have A Significant Contribution:
Golfers
Tennis Players
Runners
Boxers & MMA
Golfers:
Consider just one aspect of golf, the drive. During a traditional round of golf (18-holes) a player will exert near-maximal rotational physical effort at least 18 times driving the ball at the beginning of each hole. A healthy, pain-free back and neck is key if you are to perform well executing this shot along with other stages of your game.
If the back is experiencing pain, a player has little, if any chance of performing as well as they would with no back pain. A healthy, pain-free and functional spine is a must if you are to play to your expectations. With no back pain and normal connective tissue tension, the spine's ability to produce more power and speed increases as does it's capacity to rotate. This basically amounts to longer, more accurate drives and other distant shots, less strain on neck-shoulders-elbows-wrists-back-hips-knees-ankles and if the putting goes well, lower scores.
ELDOA exercises are specific to the spine. They reverse the effects of golf and adverse lifestyles on the back. Performing the ELDOA exercises regularly will amount to a healthier spine and a better golf game.
Tennis Players:
Maximum spinal extension while serving and high-speed single-arm repetitive rotations during volleying create unbalanced compressive forces upon the discs, vertebraes and other connective tissue of the spine. This will eventually cause degeneration of the vertebrae and the intervertebral discs. The spine and surrounding tissues must recover and return back to normal length, tensions and hydration in order to remain healthy and functional.
Tennis has a similar carry-over to golf's rotational movements therefore the sport's requirement for a healthy spine are the same. As with golf, I would recommend performing ELDOA exercises on a regular basis to help you with your overall tennis game.
Remember, A Healthy Back is a Healthy Body!
Runners:
ELDOA is ideal for runners because it helps reverse the compressive forces on the body from the pounding which running creates. The repetitive impact of feet upon hard surfaces creates tremendous forces & vibration through the body via the spine. If these forces are not effectively dissipated outwardly to the extremities, the back and neck must absorb the shock before it reaches the head. This places excessive pressure on the spinal muscles, in particularly the small interspinal & neck muscles, to absorb the shock. To improve the ability to absorb and dissapate the shock, better biomechanics including ideal postural alignment (static and dynamic) is required. Because of the decompressive effects on the spine, the ELDOA exercises are well-suited to address these issues.
Boxers & MMA:
Like tennis and golf, full-contact sports like boxing and mixed martial arts typically requires one side of the body to dominate during training and competition. When a fighter repeatedly throws more punches and kicks from one side than the other, this dominance eventually creates musculoskeletal imbalances which in turn adversely affects the spine.
Take note of a fighter's typical posture for protecting his head. Trunk in flexion, rounded shoulders, head forward, chin tucked in. This eventuality results in the permanent adatation to this posture of the head positioned forward of the shoulders. The weight of the head in this position places tremendous strain on the musculoskeletal structures of the neck and shoulders. This will eventually become symptomatic, expressing itself as pain, degeneration and limited range-of-motion of the upper back and neck.
Professional Testimonial:
My experienced using ELDOA on several ranked fighters is it had very positive effects on every one of them.
